Fees

You will have to pay an entrance fee for each of the attractions at White River State Park. The fees below will give you an idea of what things cost. We also link to the official sites so you can check for discounts. Prices change all the time so use this a rough estimate.

A lot of the venues give discounts if you are a member, teacher, active military, on food stamps, or a student. So, it pays to check those links below for discounts.

Canal Nights

Enjoy free, family-friendly fun along the Canal behind the Indiana State Museum. Find outdoor games, science activities and more, 6-8pm on Wednesday evenings during part of the summer. 
Indianapolis Shakespeare Company

Shakespeare in the Park

During the summer, the Indianapolis Shakespeare Company sometimes provides free performances in the Celebration Amphitheatre overlooking White River. (They also sell some reservable VIP seats for these plays.) Check out their website for upcoming performances. Bring a blanket or chairs. Pack a picnic dinner or eat at the food trucks.
92 County Walk

92 County Walk

Scattered all around the exterior of the Indiana State Museum are sculptures and other artistic pieces that represent all 92 Indiana counties. Most art pieces are on the building facade, but a few are in nearby green spaces or The Canal. This free experience is available year-round.
Congressional Medal of Honor Memorial

Medal of Honor Memorial

Explore this large interactive memorial for free anytime. Located on the north side of The Canal, just south of Historic Military Park, the Medal of Honor Memorial is a tribute to recipients from 15 different conflicts. Listen to the 30 minute narrative that plays when the memorial is approached, and browse the honorees names etched in glass.

Explore Art in the Park

Visit and learn about the various art installations throughout the park. Many are located on the Old Washington Street Bridge pedestrian walk, but there are many others scattered around the park and along the Canal Walk.
